Are you exploring Microsoft Azure and wondering how to get started without spending a dime? Good news: you can get free Reader access to the Azure portal simply by submitting a request. No credit card. No hidden fees. Just instant visibility into the cloud.
🌐 What Is Azure Reader Access?
Reader access is a built-in role in Azure that allows you to view resources without making any changes. It’s perfect for:
Students and learners exploring cloud architecture
Team members who need visibility into infrastructure
Anyone curious about how Azure works
With Reader access, you can browse dashboards, inspect configurations, and understand how cloud services are structured—all without the risk of altering anything.
💡 Why Is This Free?
Microsoft wants to empower users to learn, explore, and collaborate. By offering free Reader access, Azure makes it easy for you to:
Understand cloud resource management
Get familiar with Azure services
Collaborate with teams securely
Build your cloud skills without financial commitment
📝 How to Request Free Reader Access
Getting started is simple:
Click on the Azure Request Access page on Cloud Nerchuko website.
Submit the form for Reader access.
Check your inbox and complete authentication, you’ll be able to log in and explore the environment.
If you're working on a project or learning independently, many communities and educators offer shared subscriptions where you can request access.
🚫Signup Limitations
Due to constraints within Azure Entra ID, guest access to the Azure Portal is limited.
👤As a guest user on this tenant, please note that a maximum of 10,000 external users can be registered to experience the Azure Portal per month.
This access is valid for a period of 30 days, after which guest permissions may expire or raise another request after the expiry.
During the period, you can login and logout of Azure Portal anytime and anywhere.
Once the submission limit is reached, the form request becomes hidden or inaccessible. You’ll no longer see any option to submit after hitting the cap.
🔐 Safe, Secure, and Read-Only
Reader access is completely read-only. You won’t be able to modify, delete, or create resources—making it a safe way to explore without risk.
